Child Actor Headshots - West LA

This was one of my first headshots. It was shot in 1995 using large format film. The camera is made of wood and you need to drape a large cloth over it in order to focus. The image quality is extremely high. Photographers still use large format for high end advertisements, magazine covers and other applications where quality matters more than cost. Almost no one shoots headshots with 4x5 film.

I like this image because for one thing, when printed as an 8x10, this image is larger than life size. Tutu was cast in one of the mummy movies with the Rock and is an accomplished photographer and musician.
